Another in a series of monoprints. Jellyfish are a bit of a challenge for their translucency, but it is a really fun project for ink painting. I went to the local aquarium for sketches and photos. I could watch jellyfish all day; they're so soothing.

reminds me of a series of prints on jellyfish i saw in an english town called falmouth.
i like how you have managed to make the tendrils seem suspended.

I prefer the right one because the translucency is better, I think the grace of the jelly fish is well done too,...,the black background make the wholle thing really abyssal and creepy

I agree; there is something more successful about the jelly on the right. Thanks for your comment; they are a little creepy floating around in the darkness like that, but I'm glad you like them. ^^
